Hey, Mamas!

Nikki and Simona here. Welcome to District Motherhued! We are the DMV’s premier organization for millennial moms of color. Founded in August 2016, District Motherhued was inspired by the movie “Bad Moms”. We joined forces to create a regional space for millennial moms to connect. What started out as a a pamper event for moms turned into an organization.

So what is District Motherhued all about?

Our mission is to engage you with candor while empowering and equipping you with resources and support. We chat it up via social media, then bring those virtual relationships to reality via our fab monthly events. District Motherhued provides a safe, judgement-free place to celebrate (or commiserate – depends on the day đŸ˜‰ motherhood, and connect with other like-minded moms.

District MotherHued’s premise is to:

Engage!: Through social media and regular events, we’ll provide opportunities for millennial mothers in the DMV to celebrate, connect and engage

Empower!: Create a space to enhance the motherhood experience by sharing and tackling common struggles and triumphs. (Co-parenting, budgeting, relationships, self-care etc.)

Equip!: Build a community providing inspiration and resources for mothers and budding mompreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a running theme, and we encourage it!

We love meeting you all, making new mommy friends and supporting one another on this motherhued journey. We look forward to meeting and hosting you at our next event!
